Exciting news! Just Do It - A Tale of Modern-day Outlaws will be hitting cinemas across the UK starting on July 15th. Starting in London and touring across the country, Just Do It has 24 cinemas already in tow with many more to come. For those who haven’t heard about this trail blazing new documentary, Just Do It gives the inside story of the UK environmental direct action movement. With unprecedented access, Director Emily James spent over a year filming with direct action groups Climate Camp, Plane Stupid and Climate Rush. Providing a poignant insight into an oft misrepresented community, Just Do It introduces you to a powerful cast of mischievous and inspiring characters who put their bodies in the way. They super-glue themselves to bank trading floors, blockade factories and attack coal power stations en-masse, all despite the very real threat of arrest. Their adventures will entertain, illuminate and inspire. From the beginning this has been a film pushing boundaries. It is an experiment in crowd-funding, group production and community-engaged documentary film making. Now, the most important boundary left to push is the paralysing sense of powerlessness felt by so many in the face of runaway climate change, corporate greed and ineffective world leaders. This film urges people not to wait for others to act on their behalf, but to intervene when they see injustice, to take action against all odds and ultimately Just Do It.
